Fukushima Diary reports:
12778.74Bq/kg of cesium from the HEPA filter of air cleaner in Yokohama
Location : Five stories apartment in Yokohama Kanagawa
Usage : 2/4/2011 ~ 8/30/2012 (Not 24 hours everyday)
Size : 38.5×24×4 cm
Cs-134 : 5250.44 ± 68.456 Bq/Kg
Cs-137 : 7528.30 ± 68.476 Bq/Kg
Yokohama is 157 miles from Daiichi. Bad news. The bioaccumulation is increasing steadily. People who remain inside the 300 mile circle will have to make drastic lifestyle decisions to survive. Most will fail.
ReplyDeleteIt is really scary how fast this is escalating.
ReplyDeleteBobby1 has a great analysis here:
Enormous radioactive contamination in Fukushima City.

I am trying to get a post together about radiotrophic fungi. I believe this is the main factor in the global epidemic of tree deaths. It causes them to rot from the inside. Sandy knocked over many of these trees and killed many people.
DeleteIonizing radiation changes the electronic properties of melanin, so that melanized fungi can use melanin for a food source. Melanized fungi makes people get a host of different diseases. This happens mostly in the tropics, but now I believe it will happen globally. The short description is that fungi start growing in the lungs, heart and brain.
Fukushima Diary has an item that radiation jumped to double in Aomori prefecture. It is coming hot and heavy. My thyroid is being affected... I take 2 drops of Lugol's iodine a day. By the next morning, it's bothering me again. I am thinking of upping it to 3 drops.

ReplyDeletestill hasn't stopped it's decimating progression.
That's another brilliant article, Bobby1!
