Interesting because on April 28 I noted what looked like an emission event at Fukushima Daiichi (here). I also documented a slight increase in readings at Fukushima Daiichi and Daini using Netc data. Radiation levels in the Ohio valley were elevated two days ago with an Alert Level recorded for two days. Correlation or Causality?

The prior average 2 years ago was consistently 22 to 25 CPM with occasional larger peaks, but never up to 40 CPM when averaged over an hour.
Bottom line the background is up 50% to 30%

I wonder if nuclear power plants everywhere are using Fukushima as an opportunity to release contaminants as well.
Perhaps nuclear polluters think that it doesn't matter anymore.
